What an amazing weekend! Thank you all for your support and enjoying the one event we love to throw each and every year. Hell on Wheels marks 9 years providing entertainment within the Kustom Kulture, which I have lived my entire life. From the fast drag cars, to the lovely ladies, Hell on Wheels made a splash at the Atlanta Dragway with some amazing support and sponsors, not to mention all the attendees that traveled hundreds of miles.
We want to thank Gear Jam Vintage Drags and the Atlanta Dragway for managing one hell of a race series at the track. The crew at the track works hard to maintain one of the best drag strips in the southeast, and it shows. From working in the tower, to the communication throughout each team member, and the support from EMT’s and the race director, we thank you for all your hard work and ensuring a safe fun time at the Atlanta Dragway.
We want to thank all our many sponsors for taking Hell on Wheels to the next level. We want to thank PBR, Lawbike, Gray & White, Cycle World of Athens, Lowbrow Customs, TK Drift Trike, and Gainsco Insurance. We want to thank all the builders, vendors, and artists that came out to set up and support this great show including: Rusty Nuts Originals, Knight Brothers, Southern Fried, In Between, Tattoo Twisted, Dirt Class, SAF, For Guys and Gals, Georgia Piedmont Technical College, Sensation Jewelry, Vintage Gypsy, Glitter and Glory, the Devil’s Hand, Liberty, Retro Verte, Trashy Diva, the Knob Father, Jezebel Blue, and 2′ & 9’s. We want to thank our artists who came out: Lawrence Gardinier, Dirk Hayes, Tony DeSantis, Charlie Tyre, Cory Cox, Clark Brown, and Ben Bowling. We look forward to growing this portion of the show each and every year. Seeing this amazing art inspires our crew to present a medium to display the entire lifestyle we live in…
Lastly, I need to include a huge thank you to my crew and family. From the long hours behind the scenes, to the execution the day of, I can truly say I am surrounded by some amazing talent. Thank you Rob Davis for your expertise behind the sound board and what you do to make our entertainment feel so welcomed and supported. Thank you Stretch for the decades of friendship and relentless support our brotherhood has endured over the years. Thank you to all the voices on Garage71; Rev. Andy, Ganci, Joel, and Timo. Thank you Scott Adams for your amazing eye and capturing some amazing life moments… Thank you Ms. Buttercream Bettie, (Karen Powers) for hosting an amazing Pin Up contest that drew ladies hundreds of miles away. Thank you Ms. Ava Fairlane and Ms. Ashley for being the best PBR hosts any Hell on Wheels could ask for. Thank you to my mother for all the years behind the scenes and always believing in me, even in the worst of times. And, thank you to my most amazing wife, Kris, that without her, my path today would not be the same.
Thank you for everyone coming out to enjoy in our celebration. From some of the best collection of music today with Andrea Colburn and Mud Mosely, to Back South, Jason Lee Wilson, and Kitty Rose and the Rattlers, we look forward to booking next year’s event and making year 10 another amazing year!
We have Hell on Wheels scheduled for October 12th & 13th, 2018. Mark your calendars now!!! We are already in the planning stages and appreciate all the feedback this year as we made our first appearance at the Atlanta Dragway. We know we have some adjustments to make it even better. This is what we do and we appreciate all positive input as it is important to us to throw the best event anywhere.
Until next year, adios. It’s Martini Time as Rev. Andy would say….
